Ayurveda is probably the oldest traditional healing method in the world. With its writings dating back over 2000 years, Ayurveda has an incomparable, precisely documented knowledge base that has been handed down for thousands of years, first orally from generation to generation and then also in writing. Although the system originated in India, the Ayurvedic healing system can be transferred to the environmental and living conditions of all cultures due to its universal principles. Ayurveda as it is taught and practiced in India today, it takes this claim into account. The basic elements of Ayurveda consist in the unity of body, mind, soul and senses, the element theory, the unity of microcosm and macrocosm as well as the interaction of the functional energies vata, pitta and kapha, whose harmonious balance is the basis for health and well-being. In the design of its diagnostic and therapeutic principles, Ayurveda recognizes the absolute uniqueness of the individual in an outstanding way. In this way, Ayurveda gives us humans from Western civilizations a new perspective on illness and discomfort and thus the basis for healing.
Ayurvedic consultation and treatment
- Every Ayurvedic treatment is preceded by a thorough medical history. For this purpose, I can include conventional medical therapies as desired or necessary. The aim is to provide as comprehensive a picture as possible of your constitution, needs, emotional world as well as your disease and symptoms. For the history-taking and a physical examination including Ayurvedic pulse diagnosis we need about 50-60 minutes!
- Optionally the results will be documented in a detailed report as well as therapy and nutrition plan, which you will receive in written form. This also includes the formulation of herbal medicines according to South Indian tradition.
- On site, depending on the diagnosis and therapy plan, I also offer the following manual classic or traditional Ayurvedic procedures:
- Classical Panchakarma treatments are preceded by preparatory measures (Purvakarma) of external and internal oiling (Snehana) and heat treatments (Sevdana), which are then followed by one or more of the 5 main treatments (Panchakarma). These are:
